Wedding Photographer?

_DSC9475

_DSC9753Every so often I volunteer to photograph a neighbors wedding- happens about once every 5 years. I know every photographer hates to photograph weddings but I find it a mildly amusing puzzle- how am I going to get good shots under these typically dreadful conditions?

So yesterday I went down the road and photographed my friend John’s daughter’s wedding. Screaming blue sky day that was perfect for an outdoor ceremony but perfectly awful for photography. I had fun though. It was a very low key ceremony and everyone was very, very nice. Perfectly lovely time and it really couldn’t have been easier.

I shot a total of 300 images (many bursts of the same scene) and ended up giving them about 70. Used mostly my old stand by- the Nikon 24-120mm lens and my Nikon D750.
