More Oldies-2

There was a time when I spent every April photographing desert flowers in Arizona. I haven’t been back in two decades but looking at this image it makes me want to go back and do it all over again.

I took this Globemallow with my Pentax 6×7 medium format camera. It wasn’t very good for close-ups but from a couple of feet away it worked really well. I was lucky this day to have a thinly cloudy sky for just the perfect amount of soft light on the scene.

I hadn’t laid eyes on this image in over 25 years! What a treat to be able to savor it once again.
