Golden Oldies

You all are going to have to suffer through a visual trip down memory lane for a few posts. I am just about done going through my 100,ooo slides I had in my office and in the process of doing so I found some images that I hadn’t seen in a long, long time.

The first ones I am going to show were taken with a Pentax 6×7 that I owned for a few years in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I never got to project the 6×7 images and while they shed up in calendars and glowed on my light table I never had a chance to tweak them or even just admire them bigger on my computer screen. The file size is huge- 90mb! I think I’m going to get a couple printed big just for fun.

These images I took for the first book I did- Ancient Forests- on the old-growth forests of the Northwest. I spent many a happy hour wandering these magical forests- some of the best hours of my life. It’s great to see these old friends again.
