Back from Africa

I had a great trip to Kenya yet I didn’t see a single iconic animal or beautiful vista. I was well off the tourist track in far western Kenya near the shore of Lake Victoria visiting a small impoverished village called Pap-Onditi.

While most people in the village struggle for food and water they have a wonderful generous, friendly spirit that I fell in love with. I was welcomed and helped daily by perfect strangers and I can’t find the words to say how wonderful my entire time in the village was.

I will be posting short snippets of the big story I was helping to tell in the next several blog posts. I’ll throw in some technical, how-to stuff as well. This won’t be my last  trip to Pap. There is much more to discover.
